Our Client requires an experienced Account Manager to deal with a ‘blue chip’ account. Familiarity with SOPs etc Acting as the go between for air/road and sea for a major retail account. Involved with tracking systems etc. Account Manager role within SCM Background in large, multi-modal logistics provider (or retail side with experience of freight forwarders/logistics providers) Experience in managing one (or more) blue chip or retail account. Experience in implementing and operating IT based tracking solutions including bespoke development and systems integration/customisation etc. Must be familiar and comfortable in running meetings with all levels of management present (directors, managers, co-ordinators, customers, etc.) Ability to prepare and carry out presentations to prospective clients and/or run training/education workshops Knowledge of either or both of the following: a. UK Imports Process (imports, logistics and distribution) b. Origin Management (“PO” tracking, sea and air consolidation, shipping, documentation, etc.) Must have systems knowledge, in particular tracking systems' Implementation. Management training and/or graduate education Skills in data analysis tools (MS Excel, etc.) Skills in Project Management Must be able to use car / travel UK / overseas, etc. |
