South / Midlands - Southampton / Home Counties (surrounding M25 & M4 Corridor) / East Midlands including Daventry & Milton Keynes. The focus areas centre around the key locations for importers/exporters in the above areas with particular interest in the services into Southampton. There is a huge presence of target clients in the ‘corridor’ from Southampton through Reading/Swindon and up to Birmingham/Daventry. The focus would therefore also include building up domestic logistics services at the Southampton depot. The East Midlands area including Daventry and the potential rail-hub would become a focus area to target clients interested in this selling point. You will primarily be responsible for the generation of new business in your sales region particularly through promotion of our International Supply Chain Management Services incorporating origin services, ocean freight and destination services supported by the freight management/reporting software. Additionally you will maintain and develop the existing customer base and work closely with our Operation and IT departments to deliver a quality service. Your essential skills and attributes will include: - Experience in the logistics industry particularly in the principles of Supply Chain Management
- A proven sales track record in the logistics industry
- Excellent IT and presentation skills
- Understanding and ability to sell freight and destination services
- Ability to work to deadlines and report / communicate internally
