Trade Analyst - Trans-Atlantic Trade

 

Job Purpose

Implement and communicate Trade policy & objectives for Trans-Atlantic Trade (TAT) and support space management.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities and Measurement

Be the Marketing Pricing focal point for designated region(s), sectors demonstrating sound awareness of the regional commodities / markets and operational infrastructure

Implementing pricing and space management policy in varied markets in line with varying trade direction and market dynamics

Perform regular structural review of regions performance against target levels & follow-up on any performance deviations

Respond to rate requests, analysing & judging business contribution in the context of current / prospected market conditions as well as Trade / region performance

Complete timely and accurate tender submissions demonstrating commercial awareness & sound pricing in the process

Complete regular KPI reports and follow up on any deviations

To represent the Marketing team at internal and external meetings as & when required

Manage the Customer Allocation / Customer Space Management tool and be proficient with Trade Management OPUS Modules

Support internal teams and policies including Container Flow Management, Strategic Yield and European Space management

 

Skills, Qualifications and Expertise

● Minimum of 5 years trade experience working in the container liner industry

● Proficient with US FMC filing and regulatory requirements

● Ability to analyse data

● Good MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

● Experience of working to tight deadlines

● Flexibility in approach to work

● Ability to prioritise workload
