Our client Ocean Network Express (ONE) is a leading global container shipping company, created from the legacy of the three Japanese line companies now united as ONE. Their vision is to take the container shipping business to a new level connecting oceans and continents with extensive liner network service portfolio across over 100 countries.

To manage their expanding business, they are looking for talented, motivated candidate to join the team as:


                                                                Credit Control Team Leader (Europe)



-        To supervise/manage the day to day departmental responsibilities of the Credit Control Team.

-        Ensuring all tasks performed by the team are completed effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner. 

-        To provide support and assistance to the offshore team relating to the general EUA accounts receivables working procedures and process management. 

-        Assist the departmental manager maintaining/establishing appropriate financial controls, including manuals and ensuring that EUA Third Party Agents and ONE office’s comply with all ONE accounting policies and processes.



  • People management - Day to day operational management of 2 Credit Control Co-ordinators.
  • Breadth & range of responsibilities
    • EUA region outstanding USD 250 million (estimated) of which USD 40-50 million overdue (estimated) at any given time
    • 50 ONE offices and Third-Party Agents within EUA region
    • Support the delivery of all credit matters across EUA region
    • Building and developing effective relationships with key stakeholders in EUA agents and SIN GHQ is an important part of this role



  • Experience in credit control or in other customer facing role (2 years or more preferable).
  • Pro-active attitude and proven ability to take ownership of tasks and complete independently within given deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage and work within a small team.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with GHQ and EUA agents (Finance Manager level or equivalent).
  • Experience of the liner shipping and general knowledge or the liner shipping business is a distinct advantage
